I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist, BACP accredited, and an integratively trained clinical supervisor for individuals and groups. Being trained from an integrative framing aids me in my work with supervisees from different theoretical learnings and modalities. I have always regarded supervision as the core foundation of being a psychotherapist. I work from a relational place and advocate that you, as a supervisee, feel supported and open to bringing all to the sessions, including the things that we sometimes dare to look at.
It is vital that this space is one that is open, honest, supportive, and equally challenging. If we are curious about our clients and ourselves, then exploring things in supervision can be a rich learning experience.
In our first session we will discuss what your needs are and what it is that you would like to get out of supervision. For those that have experienced working with a previous supervisor, I believe that it is important to spend a little time discussing this experience and how you feel about moving forward. We will explore how we will work together in forming a supportive and educative professional relationship.
The model I use is The Seven Eyed Model by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet. This model works incredibly well as it integrates the relational elements of supervision, looking at all of those who are involved, from the client, therapist, and supervisor to the place of training. It is described by some as a map and guide to explore how the above dynamics are existing and functioning.
I work both in person and online.
